18 cm. height, 10.5 cm. width
Era Age :
Hariphunchai around 14th - 15th Buddhist century
Characteristic :
The head of this Buddha image clearly adopted Dvaravati’s art style in the northeastern region, just as the stone Buddha image found at Dan Khun Thot, Nakhon Ratchasima.  He has high cheekbones, the eyebrows are arched like crow wings, eyes are lowered, the end of the eyelids is raised, the nostrils are flat but large, and the mouth is thick. He also has a beard, his halo is high and the hair is knotted like a cone. However, it can be noticed that there is no “hairline” which is considered as the unique feature of Hariphunchai Buddhist arts. Therefore, it can be assumed this Buddha image may date from the early Hariphunchai period. Moreover, given that the influence of Dvaravati’s art style can be seen in many objects in Lamphun, it can be concluded that there existed the strong tie between the networks of Dvaravati in these two regions (Hariphunchai and Northeastern).
